Chief Licensing Inspector


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chief Licensing Inspector to lead and oversee licensing and compliance activities within the region. This is a key role responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting public health outcomes, to delivering consistent, high-quality service.

You will play a critical role in managing licensing frameworks, driving operational performance, and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the community and industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee licensing, compliance, and enforcement activities
  • Ensure alignment with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Provide expert advice on licensing matters
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes
  • Manage complex or high-risk cases and escalations
What you'll bring
  • Proven experience in a regulatory, compliance, or licensing environment
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop teams
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act or similar regulatory frameworks)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and decision-making ability
