Hill Labs are an independent privately-owned New Zealand business with home-grown values, we are an analytical testing laboratory with three major testing areas: agriculture, environmental and food. 

We are searching for a Facilities Officer to join our Hamilton based team.  This role will have primary responsibility to assist with the coordination and completion of building and grounds maintenance for all Hill Lab sites.  You will develop strong working relationships with all personnel and external service providers as necessary to fulfil the role. 

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skill-base and develop in a facilities role. 

Key tasks and responsibilities: 

• Contribute to the effective delivery of the preventative maintenance schedules 
• Coordinate and carry out repairs and maintenance as and when required 
• Coordinate general maintenance requests and ensure all work orders are completed within agreed timeframes 

The ideal candidate will have the following: 

• Minimum two years relevant experience in building repairs, maintenance and mechanical repairs with good “hands-on” skills 
• Good time management and prioritisation skills 
• Good computer skills; including scheduling software or similar 
• Full, clean drivers licence 
• Experience with air conditioning, compressed gasses, mechanical, plumbing or purified water systems would be advantageous
