Field Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Field Team Leader. The role is Dec – May, and between Feb - May the team operates 7 days a week. The role is fast-paced and physical but most importantly, the successful candidate will be a people leader. The teams will collect kiwifruit samples from the Bay of Plenty and beyond to be tested in our Mount Maunganui lab as a key component of Zespri’s assurance programme. 

THE ROLE 

The Field Team Leader will manage all aspects of field operations. This will include recruiting, training and organising their own team. This role is not a desk job, and candidates will spend much of their time (~75%) out in the orchards. Whilst working in the field, Team Leaders will be collecting samples with members of their team ensuring that quality, safety and efficiency targets are achieved. 

ABOUT YOU 

  • Previous staff management/supervisory experience in a similar role 
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills 
  • A love for the outdoors and physical work 
  • Comfortable with technology such as smartphones and productivity software
