We’re looking for a proactive Junior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team and help support the systems that keep our business running smoothly. 

This role is permanent, full time and based in our Christchurch Branch.

About the Role

As a Junior Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality service support across the organisation. Along side providing exceptional tier 1 support you’ll act as an escalation point for the IT Support team, helping resolve more complex technical issues and contributing your expertise to ensure our systems operate efficiently.

In addition to day‑to‑day support, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on IT projects, gaining hands‑on experience that will help grow your skills and advance your career.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing technical support to meet business requirements and maintain operational continuity
• Assisting the IT Support team by handling escalated queries and complex troubleshooting
• Supporting the delivery of IT initiatives and project work
• Contributing to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and services

About You

• IT qualification or relevant IT Support experience
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in providing IT Support, or relevant experience, including demonstrated experience in delivering technical support for hardware devices such as PCs, laptops, and printers as well as providing hands on support
• Experience supporting user-facing products like M365 and Windows OS.
• Proficient in utilizing ticketing systems such as JIRA service management, Zen desk etc
