Laboratory Technician


Our commercial Laboratory based in Hamilton has several positions available for Laboratory Technician's to join the team.

Fixed Term Roles: We have opportunities available for fixed term roles working 40 hours per week (January - May 2026). Hours will be as per the laboratory team roster, which will include either early morning and evenings as well as weekend work to provide flexibility for all successful candidates.

Permanent Part Time Role: We have a permanent part time role available, 20 hours per week, hours will be as per the laboratory team roster, which will include either early morning and evenings as well as weekend work to provide flexibility for all successful candidates.

These roles would be ideal for someone looking to develop their career in a laboratory environment.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Conducting lab operational duties to ensure efficient ongoing delivery of a quality analytical service to our clients 
  • Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment 
  • Working closely with the extended team within the branch 

What you bring:

  • Good attitude to learn and develop, is reliable, punctual, conscientious and able to work as part of a team as well as independently 
  • Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills 
  • Good attention to detail and excellent computer skills 
  • May have a tertiary qualification in science or relevant discipline, however this is not essential 
  • Previous experience working in a commercial laboratory or high throughput environment is advantageous 
  • Experience with analytical instruments such as LCMS, HPLC or IRMS is also an advantage.
