Management Accountant


We are seeking a highly organised and capable Management Accountant to provide maternity leave cover, and support our business across a portfolio of financial and operational responsibilities.

About the Role

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth financial and administrative functioning of our Inspection and Certification organisation. You’ll work closely with the CEO to maintain accurate financial information, support operational processes, and deliver core accounting processes to allow the business to operate.

Key Responsibilities

This fixed term position requires someone who:

  • Has a background in Finance and familiar with off-the-shelf finance systems
  • Has held prior finance roles for a service oriented business
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll processes
  • Enjoys the challenge of Operational reporting to support Management to lead the business
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and day to day finance administration
  • Work within Xero to manage accounts, reconciliations, and financial workflows
  • Maintain internal databases and support improvements to system processes
  • Provide general operational support to ensure smooth business continuity

  • Is happy to work for 10 months from July, working 40 hours per week and seeking to apply their skills to a service orientated business.
  • Is fun to work with and thrives in a family-based culture
  • Enjoys balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Is comfortable managing deadlines, working collaboratively, and supporting both operational and strategic business needs.
  • Has a good attitude, is approachable yet firm when needed, and can maintain focus under pressure.
  • Is confident working independently without direct supervision.

Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3 years’ prior experience working in finance-based roles with a proven track record of performance.
  • Relevant accounting qualification at a tertiary level (CA/ACA or studying towards are desirable) but a passion for numbers is a must!
