Quality Manager – Regulatory (& Special Projects)


Are you a seasoned quality professional with a passion for regulatory excellence and continuous improvement? 

We’re looking for a Quality Manager – Regulatory (& Special Projects) to lead and strengthen our compliance capability within a dynamic, commercial laboratory environment. 

This is a senior role within our organisation where you’ll operate independently of day‑to‑day laboratory operations, while partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure our regulatory frameworks remain robust, current, and effective. 

About the Role 

You’ll take ownership of regulatory quality assurance, ensuring ongoing compliance with key national frameworks (e.g. RLP, Ministry of Health, drinking water legislation), while also contributing technical input, and supporting project outcomes across the business. 

Reporting to the Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement Manager, you’ll be a key member of a collaborative and driven Quality team. 

This role is Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week, with flexibility of hours and some working from home opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Monitor national regulatory requirements and emerging changes (e.g. RLP recognition, drinking water legislation), ensuring policies meeting those requirements are implemented, kept up to date, and updates are clearly communicated. 
  • Lead and coordinate non-ISO 17025 QA activities to ensure any relevant requirements are properly implemented, consistently applied, and maintained. 
  • Take an active role in key project areas, providing quality and regulatory oversight, technical input, and supporting project outcomes 
  • Provide support to the wider Quality team 

About You 

  • You are a confident and credible quality professional who thrives in a complex, regulated environment. 
  • Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline 
  • 5+ years in quality assurance or quality management within a regulated, process-driven environment with experience supporting or participating in quality audits
